The Move

Well we did it, we are offically moved back up to Ogden. Living in the In-Laws house for now until we find jobs and get settled, then we will look for a place to live and move yet again but this time not so far away from the family! We just wanted everyone to know!

Halloween 2008

So Christian was batman for Halloween this year and everyone loved it! He made out like a bandit with the candy too! Sorry the pictures are sideways I couldnt get them to flip!

Ali was a hot dog for Halloween too and he was a big party hit also!

I havent had my doctor apointment yet but we had it confirmed on Saturday at the InstaCare, so we are thinking it will be about the end of June beginning of July! So then this makes us think about what we are going to do, so we have decided to move back up to Salt Lake City and go to the U of U so that we are closer to family! Wish us luck!

First Snow

This was the day we left for Colorado! Yes it was the first snow of the season but it didn't stay around too long by the time we got back it was all gone! Ali is in a sweater and jacket and if you notice the snow next to him was us trying to get him to go out and go potty before we left! We kind of had to drag him outside! Haha! Christian was loving it he kept saying Mommy NO! Which is snow in Christian language! Just like cool is school in his language. He also calls Grandpa Pockpock, Grandma is Oma, Unlce David is either D or Big D, Aunt Ameila is Mia or Mmmamma and Aunt Wanda is Onda!
It was cold but really pretty so it looks like for Christmas we will have snow! So those of you that are coming to my house for Christmas bring warm clothes!!!

Our Trip to Colorado

We had to take a trip to Grand Junction, Colorado this last weekend because Ricky's Grandmother passed away at 89 years old, so we went to the funeral. We stoped along the way and took some pictures of one of the view points on I-70 about 3 hours into the 4 to 5 hour drive there. What we are standing on is one really big rock! I had to get a picture of this cool tree, but Christian didn't want to be up in it so it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to! Oh well thats a 2 year old for you! All he wanted to do was play with rocks!
I am standing above them and they are on the edge of the rocks, behind them was a sheer drop! Yeah it freaked me out seeing my husband take my child up on that rock next to the edge!

This is the whole family after dinner the night that we got to Colorado, we were all really tired and had a busy few days ahead of us! I think this is the first real family photo that we have sence David and Ameila's wedding, and Christain is not paying any attention! And look Deby is actually looking at the camera!
After the funeral which was very nice we all packed up said our goodbyes and left for home, we got back to Cedar City at about 7:30pm and Tessa went to work that night at 9:30 to 5:30am! Yes I was one tired and cranky mommy the next day!

Weight Loss Efforts

As some of you may know I (Tessa), have started a weight loss program with my doctor because I just wasnt feeling to great about myself. I have struggled with weight a good portion of my life and now I am doing something about it! So I started this program 2 months ago and my starting weight was 260lbs and as of my last weigh in with the doctor about the end of September I had lost 15 pounds! I am feeling great and getting much more active and I can actually chase Christian around without getting out of breath so fast! My clothes are getting to big for me which is AWSOME!!!! I have never felt so good about myslef in a long time! I just wanted to let you all know that!

Nap time

Alright, the other day we put Christian down for a nap and he had been sleeping for a few hours and I, Tessa, decided to go check on him. So I walk down the hall and carefully open his door, I walk in and look at his bed, No Christian. So then I think maybe he is under his bed cuz he likes to do that sometimes. Nope no kid, so then I am thinking to myself where in the heck is my child the window wasnt open and there was no one else in the apartment. So I continue to look around the room; not behind the door he likes to lay there too, not under his table and chairs, yes he lays there too! Then the thought came to me Look in the closet! So I go to open the closest door and who do I find? Well look for yourselves! Yes there is enough room in the closet for a dresser and a 2 year old!! He climbed inside his closet and closed the door! I have a video of it and I will post it on as soon as I figure out how to do it!

SUU Homecoming Football Game

We went to the SUU Homecoming Football Game, which they lost but could have won in the last 30 seconds of the game! But we wont get into that! We lots of fun there first off we went to the parade and got candy thrown at us! Christian had fun some girl from the parade panted his face! All and all it was a good day! We are having so much fun being on our own and getting involved in school spirit! I didnt know Ricky was taking this picture both of us are looking the other direction and Christian is picking his nose! GO SUU!

1st Bowling Fun!

This was Christian's first bowling trip he had lots of fun and threw lots of fits when it wasn't his turn! We all bowled very low scores because he wasn't the best of players! He even bowled in someone else's lane!

Tessa's Life Change

Well, I guess I did it! I am no longer going into Nursing because of a lot of issues that I really dont want to dicuss at the present time, but I have changed my Major to Elementary Education. I feel that it better fits me and will work out to my benefit in the long run. What I really want is to be a stay at home mommy but that cant happen right now, but this choice will allow me to have more freedom. So I feel really good about this and am very excited to start taking the education classes! That is about all for now!

Christian's 2nd Birthday!

Christian got Ali our new miniture Daschound for his birthday. He really loves this dog and carries him around everywhere. When the dog does something that he shouldn't then Christian tells him No he will take him outside to play with him and let him go potty. So he is really a good dog owner. Ali is 8 weeks old and we are having fun training him.

It was a fun day for all of us! We went to church and came home and ate dinner then played some games!

Happy Birthday Christian! Here he is Mr. 2 year old! He loves Winnie the Pooh so I made him a Pooh cake and he loved it! It took me forever to try to frost his cake the right way, the frosting was so soft it made it hard to do anything with, but this is the finished product, not too bad I can say!

School Starts!

Well school started last week and we made it through with a few bumps and scraps! Christian loves him new day care and doesn't want to leave when we go to pick him up! Ricky is taking 15 credits and loves all his classes (he has some great teachers! which is great!) Tessa is taking 14 credits and working full time. yes it is a heavy load but she is superwoman!!! We are currently trying to get on a waiting list for some really great townhouses that would be perfect for our little family. Tessa has been on this diet and exercise program for a month and had already lost 11 pounds and feels great! She has more energy to chase Christian around! Christian is the typical 2 year old being defiant at every turn and saying NO a lot! We are afraid we aren't going to make it through the TERRIBLE TWOS!!! So thats what is new! I will be posting pictures of Christian's Birthday party soon!

We just finished our volunteering at the Utah Summer Games, some of these pictures were of the opening ceremonies of the Games. It was a lot of fun and we got to be a part of our community.
